Sounds like you had a good night. I've been meaning to make it to a Perth Blog Nite for a while, but I'm a little shy.

I travel the freeway daily from Mandurah to Perth to get to work. I've often thought of video podcasting the ride, and the conversation my fiance and I have over the course of the 1.5 hr trip. Although the conversation often descends into chaos as the traffic slows to a halt. And it probably wouldn't be too interesting either. :)

Re: Evangalising Australian blogging and Web 2.0: the Perth Blog Meetup

Hi Duncan,

It was great to meet you the other night. I would have stayed later, had I not arrived so late in the first place! :) (I had another business appointment prior, and was thankful you guys were still around when I finally arrived).

Just need to clear up a few points...
* It was 9.40pm when I arrived, not 11pm ;)
* Rachel and I own ineedhits (www.ineedhits.com) outright, however we do not "run" it anymore, instead we have an amazing CEO in Jackie Shirvington and have some great people on the ineedhits Strategic Advisory board such as Matthew Macfarlane (who also happens to be a Co-Founder of Minti).
* We have raised AUD$1.6M (100k in about Aug 05, and 1.5M in Feb 06) in funding for Minti, not several million.

Also - thanks for the invite for the 2web podcast, I love listening to it, but podcasts aren't "my thing". I am sure Matthew Macfarlane will be interested though, he is a major factor behind Minti (3 key figures are Rachel, Matthew and myself) and was key in securing the funding.

Look forward to catching up more often.

You should check out a regular catch up session I have setup for Perth quality internet Web 2.0 players (would love to have you along)... http://www.techuncut.com/2006/04/web-20-techunc...

Cheers
Clay

Re: Evangalising Australian blogging and Web 2.0: the Perth Blog Meetup

Great post, I would like to have been there, I will have to make it to the next one (I agree on getting clay to do an interview ;) It's nice to read your blog and get to know you (heard a lot about you BTW)..blogging is amazing and more so Australian's getting into it..I am relatively a new blogger but I now have 4 blogs and a member of 2.
